Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. Ansiktet är slätrakat. Under den plymagerade hatten syns ett hjässkydd. Hatten sitter fast med ett band under hakan. Huvudet är något bakåtlutat samt vridet åt höger. Rustningens nederdel består av stora rektangulära flikar. Benen är stövelklädda. Höger arm, som påträffats lös, har hållits böjd uppåt. Troligen har handen fattat om ett spjutskaft eller dylikt. Med vänster hand håller mannen en profilerad sköld, vars nu saknade nederparti har vilat mot underlaget. Kroppstyngden vilar på höger ben medan vänster ben är framskjutet. Skulpturen och bakstycket är snidade i ett stycke. Armarna är snidade separat och sitter fästade vid bålen med dymlingar. Bakstycket är profilsvängt och baksidan är slät. Nedtill är bakstycket framdraget så att det bildas en kraftig sockel på vilken figuren står. Sockelsidorna är släta så när som på en rits. Bakstyckets övre del fortsätter snett uppåt och bildar en bred platta ovanför krigarens huvud. Bakstycket är delvis bortbrutet. Höger hand saknas liksom sköldens nedre del. Text in English: Warrior clad in roman armour, with clean-shaven face and head-protecting flaps under plumed helmet, fastened with a strap under the chin. The head is slightly backward-leaning and turned somewhat to the right. The lower section of the armour consists of large, rectangular flaps. The right arm, which was found separately, was bent slightly upward. The hand probably held a spear or similar weapon.The left hand holds a profiled shield, of which the bottom section would have rested on the base which is missing. The weight of the body rests on the right leg, while the left is thrust slightly forward. The figure is wearing boots. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the arms which are carved separately and attached to the trunk with dowels. The figure is placed in front of a profiled back-board, with a smooth reverse side, which is drawn forward at the bottom to form a robust base upon which the figure stands. The sides of the base are smooth except for a scored line on the inner side. At the top the back-board continues above the heads to form a wide plate-like section over the warriors'' head. The back-board has been partly broken. The right hand is missing as is the bottom section of the shield.
