Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. Figuren har krusigt skägg och mustascher samt är iförd en plymagerad hatt med bred brätte. Huvudet är något böjt och blicken riktad snett uppåt. Rustningens kjolliknande nederdel utgörs av läderimiterande flikar över livklädnaden, tunikan. Snett över bröstet går från höger axel en fältbindel. Möjligtvis kan fältbindeln uppfattas som en del till manteln, s k himation. På vänster arm sitter en sköld prydd med stor stjärna och ornerad kant. Höger arm hålls böjd framför kroppen i midjehöjd. Kroppstyngden vilar på vänster ben, medan höger ben hålls något böjt. Benen är stövelklädda. Skulpturen och bakstycket är snidade i ett stycke. Armarna är snidade separat och sitter fästade vid bålen med dymlingar. Bakstycket är profilsvängt och baksidan är slät. Nedtill är bakstycket framdraget så att det bildas en kraftig sockel på vilken figuren står. Sockeln är, sedd från sidan, trekantig samt ornerad på sidorna. Bakstyckets övre del fortsätter snett uppåt och bildar en bred platta ovanför krigarens huvud. Skulpturen är delvis kraftigt sliten. Höger hand saknas. Text in English: Warrior clad in Roman armour, with curly beard and moustache, wearing plumed hat with broad brim. The head is somewhat bowed and the eye-line is aimed at a sharp angle upwards. The lower part of the armour is kilt or skirt-like and consists of simulated leather flaps over a undershirt or tunic. A field-badge crosses the chest from the right shoulder. The field-badge may possibly be seen as a section of the mantle, the so-called himatation. On the left arm there is a shield decorated with a large star and ornamented edge. The right arm is held in front of the waist. The weight of the body rests on the left leg, while the right is slightly bent. The figure is wearing boots. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the arms which are carved separately and attached to the trunk with dowels. The figure is placed in front of a profiled back-board, with a smooth reverse side, wich is drawn forward at the bottom to form a robust base upon which the figure stands. The base, seen from the side, is triangular and ornamented on the sides. At the top the back-board continues above the heads to form a wide plate-like section over the warriors'' head. The sculpture is severely worn. The right hand is missing.
