Orrefors glasbruk
Bowl in blue overreach. Engraved pattern in the form of flowers and flowers. From Steinschönau in Bohemia Weidlich had its own engraving equipment. With this he made work in the basement at home in the house, and a splendor example is this engraved and ground blue bowl. E. Weidlich’s son Alfred submitted the following information to Ancient Gunnel Holmér, May and Nov 2009: “It is engraved by Emil 1929 in the outbuilding at the residence in” Kalvhagen "in Orrefors. Emil was an engraver at the mill in 1922-31 but made this bowl outside the production. The raw glass comes from the glass mill (Orrefors). The engraving machine of the brand “Meisdorf” (made in 1856) had Emil joined from Bohemia to Orrefors. This was a tramping machine, i.e. it was not electric or steam powered. The pattern on the bowl was probably Emil’s own. Function: Bowl
