Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. På huvudet sitter en rikt plymagerad hjälm. Mannen är slätrakad, har en stor böjd näsa och långt lockigt hår. Huvudet är något vridet åt höger. Rustningens nederdel består av ett övre lager av S-svängda flikar med halvrunda beslag upptill samt en undre sektion av rektangulära, halvrunda, imiterande metallplåtar. Höger arm är bruten i armbågshöjd, medan vänster arm är uppåtsträckt och svingar en oval sköld. Skölden är prydd med ett antal, från mitten symmetriskt utgående, böjda skåror eller ritsar. Kroppstyngden förefaller vila på bägge benen, vilka är stövelklädda. Skulpturen och bakstycket är snidade i ett stycke. Armarna är snidade separat och sitter fästade vid bålen med dymlingar. Bakstycket är profilsvängt och baksidan är slät. Nedtill är bakstycket framdraget så att det bildas en kraftig sockel på vilken figuren står. Sockeln är mycket liten och enkelt ornerad på sidorna. Bakstyckets övre del fortsätter snett uppåt och bildar en bred platta ovanför krigarens huvud. Nedre delen av höger arm saknas. Text in English: Warrior clad in Roman armour, clean shaven, with large bent nose and long curly hair. The figure has a richly plumed helmet on its head. The head is turned slightly to the right. The lower section of the armour consists of an outer layer of S-shaped flaps with semicircular metal fixtures near the top, plus a lower section with rectangular semicircular metal plates. The right arm is broken off at the elbow, while the left is raised as if swinging the oval shield which is decorated with a number of symmetrically curved scars or lines eminating from a centre point. The weight of the body appears to rest more or less equitably on both feet. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the arms which are carved separately and attached to the trunk with dowels. The figure is placed in front of a profiled back-board, with a smooth reverse side, which is drawn forward at the bottom to form a robust base upon which the figure stands. The base is very small and simply decorated on either side. At the top, the back-board continues above the heads to form a wide plate-like section over the warriors'' head. The lower part of the right arm is missing.
