Krigare iklädd romersk rustning och bredbrättad hatt med plymer. Mannen har kort, spetsigt pipskägg och långsmala mustascher. Huvudet är något bakåtlutat samt svagt vridet mot höger. Magen är kraftigt markerad. Rustningens nederdel består av ett undre lager med stora, rektangulära och släta flikar över tunikan samt ett övre lager med mindre flikar. I höger hand håller mannen en lång fackla. I vänster hand håller han en böjd lur. En del av luren är snidad i ett med bålen. Kroppstyngden vilar på höger ben, medan vänster ben är böjt. Fötternas främre partier har fallit bort. Skulpturen är relativt välbevarad. Text in English: Warrior clad in Roman armour, with short, pointed beard and long moustache and wearing a plumed broad-brimmed hat. The head is tilted slightly back and twisted a little to the right. The stomach or belly is well defined. The outer section of the right arm, holding a long torch, and the counterpart of the left arm, including the left hand with a section of a spiralled horn, were found separately; Nos. 01275 and No. 01225. A section of the horn was carved from the same piece of wood as the trunk. The weight of the body rests on the right foot while the left is bent. The toe sections of both feet have fallen off. The sculpture is rather well preserved aside from the above-mentioned defects.
