A retrospective exhibition covering the past thirty years of the Israeli sculptor and artist lgael Tumarkin has opened at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Tumarkin has been one of the most innovative of contemporary Israeli artists, establishing an international reputation for his skill and imagination, His influence on the Israeli art scene has without doubt established his reputation for all time. The plaza outside the museum has been filled with examples of his unique iron sculptures. Photo shows Tumarkin beside one his sculptures at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
