Engraving on paper of Jesus before Caiaphas, engraved and published by Jan Sadeler (1550-1600/1601) after a design Maarten de Vos (1532-1603) probably in Antwerp in 1582. Latin text below from Matthew 26. Jesus is bound and presented by two soldiers to the high priest Caiaphas and the assembled Sanhedrin. A drawing of a similar composition by Maarten de Vos in the British Musuem (1906,0723.10).
