Engraving on paper of the Agony in the Garden engraved by Jan Sadeler (1550-1600/1601), after a design Maarten de Vos (1532-1603), probably in Antwerp in 1582. Latin text below is from Luke 22. Jesus kneels in prayer, looking to the light in the upper left corner. His three companies, apostles Peter, James and John, have fallen asleep. In the background, Judas leads a ground of soldiers carrying spears, torches and lanterns under the light of the moon.
