Engraving on paper of the Expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden from a series of Old Testament sinners, engraved and published by Raphael Sadeler (1560/61-1628/32) after a design by Maarten de Vos (1532-1603) proabbly in Antwerp in 1583. Latin verse inscribed below is based on Genesis 3. Adam and Eve are expelled from Eden, as is the serpent who slithers beside them. The archangel Uriel with his flaming sword guards the way to the tree of life. A rabbit and camel are visible through the trees. In the background, Adam works the soil.
