Engraving on paper of Jesus expelled from Nazareth from a series of New Testament scenes, engraved and probably published by Jan Sadeler (1550-1600) after a design by Maarten de Vos (1532-1603) probably in Cologne in 1581. Latin text inscribed below is from Luke 4.29-30. An angry crowd take Jesus from the synagogue to a cliff on the outskirts of the town. Jesus, with Peter, pass safely through the crowd. In the background, the apostles travel onto Capernaum.
