Engraving on paper of the Stoning of Zechariah from a series of Old Testament scenes, probably engraved by Jan Sadeler (1550-1600) after a design by Maarten de Vos (1532-1603), and probably published by Aegidius Sadeler (1555-1609) in Cologne c. 1582. Latin text inscribed below is from 2 Chronicles 24.20. In the courtyard of the Temple, the prophet Zechariah is stoned to death at the order of King Joash, who watches from the left.
