Half length portrait of an old man 'Uncle Tom Baylis'

Portrait of an old woman sitting in the sun in front of a window. She wears a lace bonnet and dark dress. Her eyes are closed and she rests her head on her hand, the elbow rests on the arm of the chair.

The binding paper has largely turned green but traces of the original gold colour can be seen. One of the inscriptions on the back has been gone over at a later date.
