Her right arm rests on an ornate carved table, her hands are together holding a dark parasol or umbrella. On the table is an ornate ceramic jug containing (what looks like) a white rose. She wears a decorative lace-edged bonnet, tied at the chin with lappets hanging down, a dark dress, dark lace shawl, black lace gloves, lace cuffs or under-sleeves. A thin gold chain hangs around her neck and she wears a brooch at the front (gold highlights). She sits on a red-upholstered chair. Behind her is the base of a fluted column ans panelling. The sitter is the same as one of the men in 1990-5039/13707.
