“1921. 41. Axel Johansson in harvest work 1921. Håby. Hogen.” "On the self-binder sits home owner Axel Johansson. Other persons from the left: Dottern Hedvig born 1906, married Matsson. In Hedvik’s lap, the daughter May born in 1917, married Lindqvist. An employee’s drink that nobody remembers the name of. In front of the linger with a dog in his fist sits Axel’s daughter Berta born 1909, married Hansson. Behind them dressed black suit stands Lars Johan Larsson of Vela in Västergötland. The man who is served coffee is Einar Matsson on the Canal who then lived at Hästhagen in Lundblad. The woman who pours the coffee is Axel’s wife Amanda. Elin Sahlberg, the sister of the photographer Selma Sahlberg, sits next. Johan U Larsson from Vela in Västergötland. Axel’s son Johan Axel Viktor, born in 1909 and twin to Berta. Johan is the one who took over the estate. Johan had the children Stefan and Elisabeth and Stefan run the farm after the father. The horses tense for the self-binder are from the left Olga, Wanna and Björn. The other horses are from the left foal Sonja, Svarta and Lilly. The self-binder in the photo was built in 1897 and was in use as late as 1954, when it was sold on auction and allowed to give way to a more modern variant that could be drawn after a tractor." Assurer Axel’s son Erik, who was born in 1919, also called Eije, through the brother Johan’s daughter Elisabeth. “In the old pictures, the horses are often anonymous to us today, but sometimes they appear by name. On this summer picture from 1921 we see from the left horses Olga, Wanna and Björn in front of the self-binder.
