The story of the beautiful bronze bell that has been hanging for many years in its belfry on the factory grounds. William Gibson, Jonsered’s founder, was a man who was sewing with many things. Among other things, he ran a shipping movement to export his timber products His private fleet included a ship called L "Industrie. The factory clock is said to be L “Industrie”’s ship clock. On the bell there is the following inscription: "In Stockholm cast af Gerh. Meyr A. 1771. Sophia Magdalena, the ship. Sophia Magdalena was a cheese maker who made her last voyage in 1786.
