Lindahl, Robert
The picture was sticking to grey cardboard. A group of militiamen is partly hidden behind a mountain hill and exercise shoots. The landscape is made up of rocky boulders and golden heaths. Ev. the picture can be taken somewhere between Backamo and Vargfjället/Bredfjället. The militaries are dressed in time-typical uniforms with I17 on the shoulder flap and flat caps with a screen. They wear gutter on their backs. Some of the soldiers play dead or wounded. The command is in the background and follows the course. Robert Lindahl took over the photography movement in Uddevalla after his brother Axel Theodor Lindahl, who began as a photographer in the city in 1867. Axel was in his time one of the country’s top postphotographers.
