Puinen miekkamainen heittolauta, joka on jostain lehtipuusta (ajopuuta). Lauta on muotoiltu käyttöä varten; kädensijassa on litteällä puolella paikka kolmelle sormelle ja laudan takana paikka peukalolle. Litteää puolta kulkee matala ura, johon harppuuna sijoitetaan ja kiinnitetään luisella tai mursunhampaasta tehdyllä tapilla. Laudan takapuolelle on veistetty reliefinä tyypillisiä merisaukkokuvioita. Laudan toinen sivu on hieman rikkoontunut. A wooden throwing board. This sword-shaped throwing board is of some broad-leaved tree (driftwood). The throwing board is carefully molded for use; the grip has indentations for three fingers of the hand on the flat side, and there is a hole for the thumb on the back. The shallow groove along the flat side is where the spear is inserted and held by an ivory or bone pin. On the back of the spear thrower there are characteristic sea otter carvings in relief. The other side of the board is slightly damaged. Originally in the collections of the Peabody Museum, at Harvard University, in the United States. Donated to Peabody Museum by American Antiquarian Society in 1895. Collected by Roderic McKenzie prior to 1819(?).
