fyysinen kuvaus: Veistos on melko kovaa harmaata kiveä, basalttia, jonka pintaa ei ole kiillotettu tai käsitelty. Teos kuvaa kyykyssä istuvaa äitiä, joka kantaa tytärtään amauti-asunsa pussissa takana. Kummankin kasvot ovat suuntautuneet ylöspäin. Vain kasvot on veistetty yksityiskohtaisemmin, äidin keho on vain yleisesti muotoiltu. The sculpture is of grey fairly hard stone, basalt, with an unpolished and unfinished surface. The sculpture depicts a mother sitting in a crouching position with her daughter in the pouch at the back of her amauti (parka). They have their faces upturned. Only the details of the faces have been carved, while the mother’s body is just shaped.
