fyysinen kuvaus: Veistos harmaasta basaltista. Teos kuvaa kahta jääkarhuiksi muuttuvaa ihmishahmoa. Etummainen hahmo istuu jalat taivutettuina alleen, toinen seisoo polvillaan tämän takana. Takimmainen hahmo pitää käsiään edessä olevan hahmon pään sivuilla. Etummaisen istujan asussa ainoastaan hihansuita on korostettu, takimmaiselle hahmolle on veistetty tyypillinen naisen asun läppämäinen helma ja vauvankantoon tarkoitettu huppumainen uloke selkäpuolelle. Takimmaisen hahmon jääkarhunpää on täydellinen, etummaisella muutos on vielä kesken ja korvat puuttuvat. Veistos on ilmeisesti jossain vaiheessa haljennut hahmojen välistä ja liimattu kokoon. The sculpture is made of a rock of basalt stone. It represents two human figures transforming into polar bears. The front figure is sitting with legs bended under, while the second one kneels behind it. The second figure is holding its hands on sides of the first figure’s head. The clothing of the first figure is only detailed at the cuffs, but a woman’s garment with the flap-like design in front and the pouch for the baby at the back is carved for the second figure. This second figure has a perfect polar bear head, but the front figure is still being transformed and lacks ears. The sculpture shows a crack that has been fixed with glue at some stage.
