Thermanius, Edvard
On the back of the left image is written with a pencil at the top: Gottfrid’s mother [?]. At the hem stands with ink: 18 1/2 years old. On the back of the right-hand picture is written with pencil at the top: Gottfrid’s grandmother and grandfather. In the hem stands with ink: August 1861. Edv. Ths. The two pencil notes appear to be the same handstyle and the two ink notes look to be a different handstyle, probably Edvards. Edvard was the father of Alfred, whose pictures you have in your archive. Alfred was the big brother of Gottfried. Gottfrid was my grandfather. Gottfrid’s mother, then Edvard’s wife, was named Jenny. She was born on 18 February 1843. When Edvard took the picture, she was 18 1/2 years old, so it was in August 1861, at the same time as the picture on the parents. Edvard and Jenny were married in the spring of 1867, so when the picture was taken, they were perhaps loved ones. Gottfrid’s grandfather and grandmother, then Edvard’s father and mother, was named Johan and Eva Sofia. The Famijljen moved to Hallsberg in 1868. When Edvard took the pictures, he and the parents lived in Torshälla (or if it was Eskilstuna, I can find out). It was not Örebro County. But since these pictures are closely linked to Alfred’s pictures, as you have, it would be natural to keep them all together. I found these pictures when I found out my mother’s things. She died this autumn. Mom and Dad had many things from Gottfrid, my grandfather. So the two pictures have come that way to mom.
