Body of two-piece summer fashion dress, consisting of skirt and overlay. The bodice has long curved sleeves that consist of two parts. Fashionable black and white fabric of white thin muslin, printed with small black medallions in which a landscape with temple ruins. Red bows in the center front, closure missing. The red bows are probably added later, red was not a fashionable color around 1865. No traces of other alterations.The bodice was worn inside the skirt.
