This plate was produced in Kerman in southeast Iran. It is decorated with a central Chinese landscape, enclosed by narrow panels containing propitious symbols alternating with wider panels with flowers and banana leaves. The dish is signed on the back by the potter ‘Made by Kamâl al-Din Muhammad.’
