Landscape with steep rock formations along a river

De Gheyn adjusted his drawing technique to the size of the paper. He gave form to this landscape with extremely fine lines. He drew a few boats on the water, a mountain hut hidden in the craggy rocks, and a tower with a smoking chimney atop the cliffs. The two figures crossing the wooden bridge are entirely disproportional to the rest of the composition.
