Watercoloured pencil drawing by Ernst Welker. Portrait Charlotte Elisabeth “Elisa” Konstanze von der Recke (1754-1833), writer, was especially famous for her poetry and her travel reports. She was the half-sister of the Duchess Anna Dorothea of Kurlands. Depiction: Reckes Portaitkopf is stuck in an inkwell together with writing feathers. In addition to the title “Elise v. d. Recke” and a verse under the picture, the left edge of the drawing is provided with a large and a small “T.” - subsequently provided with a cross behind title/name
