Folio 110v: Rustam Finds Kay Qubad

With Rustam at his side, Zal sets out to find a new shah, someone with the kingly aura denoting the true heir to the Iranian throne. On the advice of the magi, Zal and Rustam head for Mount Alburz, where Kay Qubad, a descendant of Faridun, lives. At the foot of the mountain, Rustam enters a clearing, in which he finds a magnificent youth seated on a throne. This is Kay Qubad, who has dreamed that a white falcon, Rustam will bring him forth to lead Iran.
