Moulded tile, probably the upper part of a “Kashan-mihrab”. White tin glaze, brown luster painting, cobalt and turquoise blue highlights. Lower frame line divided into seventeen compartments with an abstract lustre decoration, blue line, arabesque scroll and leaf pattern made to fit a trilobed arch (turquoise highlights on the moulded frame-lines) that contains the inscription (cobalt blue highlight) spandrel, symmetrical scrollmotif with gazelles-heads (waq-waq motif). Upper part, decorative border above a blue line, three arabesque scrolls. Background, finely drawn scrolls and leaves, in reserve with brown luster dots.
