Lettering: The fear of the evil eye. Two Somali women in Massawa, Eritrea, during their meal. The one on the right has finished eating and the one on the left covers her face in order to prevent the food being changed by the evil eye into poison according to the prevalent belief. Photograph by Kurt Lubinski, who owns the original painting in London. Photograph verso bears photographic studio stamp: "Copyright by Kurt Lubinski [...]"
