Sv/v photograph behind glass pasted on cardboard cardboard with black profiled paper, similar to a frame. The one corner of the glass is brackish. The portrait depicts Wilhelm von Braun (1813-1860), the author and the shell. Under the photograph is printed: Foot. Lauritz Olsen Kjöbenhavn Hereunder written in ink: Wilh. von Braun -- "Ha 'n In did his writing, fools? A thorny tag pen, and the ink - tears. " The text may possibly be written by himself. The handwritten lines during the photograph are taken from one of his more serious poems, Mitt konterfej. Here the first and last stanzas of this poem: It was too furiously hilarious! No! Is this to be my conterfey? Is this one  “old beÂ,” so thick in sight, And with the frowned eyebrows, My own beloved, sworn friend, The himself so called Brn The der poet, who jemt wants to roar To arrive with it  “equivoqua”? (Ur Carolina, 1844) Wilhelm von Braun was born on the Brängesås estate in Kölingared in the municipality of Ulricehamn and is buried in the Northern cemetery in Uddevalla. From Nationalencyclopedia: "Author. B. became a lieutenant in 1839, but in 1846 took his dismissal from the military. He made his debut with Dikter (1837-38) and then collected his poems and prose pieces in literary calendars, from Calle (1843) to Borup (1860), a total of ten. With his coarse-grained humor, sentimentality and his petty bourgeois rabulism, he was for some decades one of the most popular poets in the country.
