Torsby Church is a stone church from the middle of the 18th century. However, its oldest part, the tower, has existed since the end of the 1100th century or the beginning of the 1200th century. On the north side of the tower is a semicircular extension, a staircase tower, the so-called monk entrance. Eldest among the inventories in the church is the baptismal funnel, which dates from the 1100s. A brass christening barrel is placed on the cup. It has a portrayal of Simson’s battle with the lion and is probably a Nuremberg work from the beginning of the 16th century. The picture of Christ, cut in oak, over the entrance to the sacristy has belonged to a triumphal crucifix from the 17th century. On the walls of the choir are four very beautifully carved wooden sculptures. The pulpit dates from 1692, a work by the master craftsman Nils läns in Gothenburg. The altar essay consists of a large wooden cross, on which hangs a crown of thorns and sweep cloth, cut into wood. The background is an oil painting depicting the Holy City.
