Pressure log of boxwood with woodcut “Kronobergsheden.” Used at “Pressure” of Sejdel M 14980. Made in 1893 (Oscar II’s visit to Kronobergsheden by Edvin Raab. (Edvin Raab made printing logs and s.k stamps). Used by the painter Anton Raab. Description: Rectangular, relatively flat log of boxwood. In the middle a round field with the coat of arms of Kronoberg. On the side there are four oval fields with buildings and tents. Between the fields flags, musical instruments, painting and weapons. Bottom text: “Kronobergsheden.” Technology: Carved in wood. Stamped on the back twice “Edvin Raab.” (See also “Signing, marking” 1 above. Handwritten a “4.” See “Signing, marking” 2 above. No. See “Signing, marking” 3 above. Inscribed in the Main Catalogue at the earliest 1987. Text pasted on the back of the register card: "In the 1880s it began to be a sought-after commodity, and also Kosta took up this species. The glass painter Anton Raab performed the work so, that he first cut the picture in the boxwood. An imprint was taken in clay, which was burned, and from this another in gelatin mass for the print. The glass was rolled over it with fernissa on the stamp, which was then transferred on the glass surface. Function: Pressure log
