Picture roll with a gouach painting on cotton fabric with a main motif of king, “dharmarãja of Tibet.” See “Dalai Lamas and former Inventory of Avalokitesvara” Toni Schmid, thanka III. Harvest of patterned silk in a compound bond (lampas?) around the painting - network of blooms in blue-green, yellow, green and brown. Rectangle of pattern woven silk (brooded element) sewn inside the bottom of the outer stretcher - this motif of yellow, brown and blue-green colours has more naturalistic forms of plant. Closest to the painting two narrower pattern woven stretchers in orange resp yellow silk, both with plucked patterns of gold thread (gold-gilded cut paper). Brown pink clover tukaft woven silk lining on the back. The mounting rib at the top and the round at the bottom has been unmounted for a long time - located on X.07.E.10.
