Votivmålning på trä, ema. 10,3 cm bred. Visar en oxe, ushi. Målningar av detta slag hör till den japanska folkkonsten och de är mycket vanliga i buddhisttempel och shintohelgedomar. ema betyder egentligen "hästbild". The term ema literally means 'horse picture', and though some of them actually portray horses, countless other subjects are also represented.
