Naples, View from the little Mole in the Villa Reale, looking East

Image of an artwork, looks like an 18th or early 19th Century engraving. A kneeling woman plays with four putti in a manger, in a Romantic landscape. The inscription along the bottom of the engraving reads 'London published March 1st 180[?] by Bartolozzi'. The papier mache frame is black japanned, with a dull metal frame bordering the mat.

Half-length portrait of a young woman, seated on a wooden chair (the back is partially visible) facing slightly to her left. she wears a stripy dress with a tight bodice, round lace collar with what looks like a brooch at the front. She has a thin chain around her neck. Her hair is straight and low around the ears, plaited into a bun at the back. Hand coloured.

Lower half only of case, breaking apart and glass loose within it. Fragile. There is a complex design based on an oval on the reverse of the case, of which the leather is stained and worn.
