Rome. Remaining columns of the Temple of Nerva and Arco dei Pantali

Hand coloured. Known in the collection as 'The Show Girls'. Three-quarter length portrait of a seated young woman. She wears a dress with a full skirt and sleeveless, striped bodice. She also wears an earring, necklace and tiara that has achieved sparkly effect through small drilled/punched brilliants. She is seated in a high backed chair covered in lace. In her left hand, she holds up her veil which is attached to the tiara. Glass cover is detached from plate.

Very faded case / The same sitter as DA/37. The two photographs are so similar that they must have been taken at the same sitting and are close enough to have been taken using a stereoscopic camera.

Daguerrian Jewellery: 1916-84_1 - Gold locket cover containing a portrait of a woman set into the underside of the cover. The cover backing (front of locket) has a engraved landscape image with a an engraved 'leaf and dot' design going round the cover edges, there is another dagerrotype image of a man n the tray it is under 1916-84_2.

Three quarter length portrait of a seated man, facing left. His right arm is resting on a table on which also sits a glass dome, a display containing a number of mounted ivory puzzle balls. He wears a dark jacket, paler waistcoat, white shirt with gold buttons (gold highlights) and dark cravat. Clean-shaven, with longish curly dark hair. His left hand holds a book, his finger inserted in a page. the chair is ornate, turned wood. The glass dome reflects windows in the studio.
