The photograph is included in albums containing pictures from the first two-year battleship course at Göta’s battleship battalion in 1928-1930. The photo album shows four named pupils; Captain Gösta Bratt Halland’s regiment I 16, Lieutenant Erik de Mare Dalregementet I 13, Lieutenant Per Kellin Södermanland’s regiment I 10 and Lieutenant Gunnar Asklin Bohusläns regiment I 17. The main motif in the pictures is tanks exercises in different terrains and in different seasons. The following place names are listed in the album: Järva Field, Rosersberg, Nuolja, Boden, Abisko, Brandalsund and Tännforsen. A number of visiting German officers are also among depicting persons, including Major Heinz Guderian. Later, during World War II, Guderian is considered to have been one of Germany’s main armored generals.
