The castle is shown head-on from the garden side on a summer day. After her marriage to Prussian Lieutenant General Benno Hann von Weyhern in Berlin’s Tiergarten (Von-der-Heydt-Straße 8), the “Gutsherrntochter Adelaide von Kahle” lived in Bellin. From the area around her Berlin place of residence, from well-known Berlin excursions and from her native village Bellin, where she apparently stayed more often and longer, the motives of the consensus come from 15 drawings in the collection of the Stadtmuseum Berlin. The leaves were probably glued by her to cardboard, labeled and displayed at exhibitions. Since they found themselves in the estate, the sale does not have to have been successful if it was intended. This narrow repertoire of landscape motifs, which are all devoid of human beings and similarly composed, is probably a testimony of a painter’s dilletant, whose training and life course we know nothing about.
