Mezzotint portrait on paper of Charles VI (1685-1740), Holy Roman Emperor, engraved and published by John Smith (1652-1743) in London between 1703 and 1710. It is a reverse, reduced-size copy of a full-length painting by Sir Godfrey Kneller (1646-1723) dated 1703-1705, now in the Royal Collection Trust (RCIN 404952). Charles wears armour, an ermine cloak and the Order of the Golden Fleece chain.
