Mezzotint portrait on paper of Anne Warner (d.1689) in an oval frame, standing in a landscape holding a wreath of flowers and pulling at a ribbon, engraved and published by John Smith (1652-143) in London c. 1687. It is a copy of a painting by Nicolas de Largillière (1656-1746). Ann was the daughter of Sir John Warner of Parham (Suffolk) and Lady Trevor Warner (née Hammer) who from 1655 became Sister Clare of Jesus (Carthusian nun). Ann also took holy orders and died soon thereafter in 1698.
