The following text taken from Gunilla Lindberg’s book "In our Uppsala quarters in the 40s. Year of issue: 1995 (ISBN 91 87004 57 7) "One who did not run any hub anymore but was big and strong and feared by many in Uppsala was Stamärtan, who was really named Ernst Ferdinand Andersson, but who all felt under the name Stamärtan. Already as a child, he was great for the plant and often ended up in fights at his home in Erikslund, where he grew up. He was the one who always stood in the forefront, when boys from other neighborhoods got into a clash with the Erikslundsgrabbers. Since he lived on StamEftersom and was named Ernst, he was given the desert name Stamärtan - a name that followed him all his life. The Brother was a fishmonger in Saluhallen and Stamärtan had his first work as a springgrabb. In the forties, the almost two-meter-long Stamärtan rose to various jobs at Diösbygen and tore for two. However, he was at the same time delighted in arrows and was always noisy and steepy in which he sat on the VäderMen or Hornet with his comrades and drank. Was feared by everyone as a battlecruiser but also a child in love and capable of painting boards that he sold to workmates and others. Because in the great strong body of the Stamärtan lived an artist soul. Already as a child, he had enjoyed drawing and painting and the blackboards finally became a really profitable extra crack."
