A knotted basket, which is aimed at the basket type/technique. According to Erland Eriksson (E S Eriksson Antik), the basket is purchased in North Uppland, probably Hållnäs. According to Veil Teacher Göran Andersson, the West Mountains Folk High School Storvik, the basket is a typical “Hedesundaskeppa,” ie. The basket is made in Hedesunda and represents a characteristic type in terms of shape, technical details and painting. In Hedesunda there was a manufacturing center for most of the 1800s.
