The studio portrait was made by Henry Wauters, an amateur photographer from Antwerp who resided in the Papegaaistraat in Goes in the Netherlands. Dina Mieras had herself photographed with her daughter Cornelia and sent the photo to the Jacobs family in Zele in 1920 as a memento. The Jacobs family stayed as refugees in Wemeldinge from October to November 1914, where they got to know the Mieras family.
