Hubert Cleuren ended the First World War as a machine gun among cyclists. The photo postcard shows a studio portrait of Hubert Cleuren (right) posing with a friend from Hoeselt (left, at the trigger) near a Lewis machine gun (Belgian Rattlesnake). Both formed a permanent team behind the machine gun during the war. The studio portrait was made in Lommel in January 1919.
