In the picture is the church dedicated to “Assumption of the Virgin Mary” of the hermitage Poiana from the village of Poșaga de Jos known today as Schitul Poșaga or Schitul “IzvÎn Tămăduirii-Poșaga.” It was built in 1933 on the initiative of the parish priest of the village, Alexandru Rujdea, made of resinous trunks, on stone foundation, with rectangular shape, nave and narthex forming a single space. The open porch rests on wooden pillars. It has two turrets, one large on the nave and one smaller on the porch. It is currently plastered inside and covered with shingles outside. The simple pillars in four edges were replaced by pillars with much richer decoration, as were the catapeteasma and the entrance door. The church was also painted in fresco by the painter Carol Gross. The monastic life begun in 1948, interrupted from 1960 to 1979, continues today.
