The Portable Antiquities Scheme

A cast copper alloy miniature anvil dating to the Modern period. The object appears complete and is a typical anvil shape. The object has a central rectangular body with a conical spike projecting from one side and the other side terminating with a rectangular projection. The base of the object flares outwards slightly. This object may have been used for very fine metalwork. The object has a dark green patina and is in good condition.
