A form of miniature buckle or rectangular folding clasp frame, without its attached folded sheet plates. This is a small, approximately rectangular frame 13.5mm long and 11mm wide, 3mm thick. It consists essentially of two equal bars of 3mm gauge and 7mm length, crossing between two slightly out-bowing bars with small ornamental notches across them at the outer ends. Not strictly a buckle, a strap was attached to or wrapped round both of the rods.
