An incomplete lead alloy miniature (toy) jug or tankard dating to the Post-medieval period. The toy is cast in two pieces, the seam still visible along the side; the toy consists of a incomplete base with a foot ring, and a bulbous container element. The exterior of which is decorated with a moulded flower. The rim is missing. The surface has a matte grey patina, and where there is damage it slightly flakes and is a light grey colour. It measures 13.87mm long, 16.53mm wide, and weighs 3.2g.Toy jugs, as well as other miniature everyday items, were mass produced during Medieval and Post-medieval periods. This example probably dates to the mid 16th to 17th centuries.
