Post medieval silver possible button, rather squashed and formed of two hemishperical hollew halves with an iron spike attached through one end. It measures 19.5mm in length and was probably c.20mm wide. The sheet metal is 0.9mm thick. One hollow half appears to have a sheet copper alloy linking, while the other shows that the outside decoration was pushed through from the inside, in the form of tiny circular bosses. However the outside surface shows that extra decoration was added to these little bosses, so each is a miniature sexfoil 2mm in diameter.Weighs 4.71g.
