Box with hinged lid in the form of a book, the spine a leather print and the edges suggesting a paper cut. Smooth lid and bottom with imposed, openwork motif of symmetrical acanthus vines, each set with twelve rose-cut diamonds. On the lid and bottom an oval shaped centre with the initials: ACDFV/, imposed on a rough ground.
