Dürer made “The Resurrection” in 1512 as part of the copper engraved passion. Christ standing on the sealed sarcophagus. The observer turns his gaze, he carries out his right hand with his blessing, while he relies with his left on the staff of the Kreuzfahne. His head is surrounded by a radiant nimbus, whose gliding light blinds the surrounding guardians and displaces darkness. At the bottom right of the monogram note, dating and monogram are integrated into the representation. The rich and intergenerational reception of the engraving is to be understood as an expression of artistic appreciation.
