Albrecht Dürer’s grave

Heideloff drew a view of Dürer’s grave at Johannis-Kirchhof in Nuremberg in 1824. Geißler translated the romantic view in which a couple mourning the tomb of the Franconian painter prince in the moonlight into the technique of etching. This was used to illustrate a description of the Dürer tomb in "W. G. Becker’s paperback for convivial pleasure "published in Leipzig in 1825.
